#12: Sun Protection Awareness Was Not Very Good
Under the blazing sun of the Boomer youth, tanning wasn’t just common—it was glorified. Kids spent endless summer days at the beach or in backyards, chasing golden skin with no thought of SPF. If anything, they slathered on baby oil to intensify the burn.

Sun protection was virtually unheard of, and peeling shoulders were treated more like a trophy than a warning sign. Fast forward to today, and sunscreen is a non-negotiable part of daily skincare, even on cloudy days. Science has caught up, awareness has grown, and now glowing complexions are sought through serums and shades, not sunburn and skin damage.
