#28: His Second Posthumous Oscar Nomination
In 1957, Giant earned Dean his second posthumous Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. It was a bittersweet honor. His performance as Jett Rink showed range beyond his earlier roles: aged makeup, subtle transformation, emotional restraint.

The industry again recognized his brilliance, this time in a film he never got to see completed. To this day, no other actor has received two posthumous Oscar nominations. It cemented Dean’s reputation as a promising young star and a generational talent.
