#32: Cuban’s Love Baseball
Baseball is deeply woven into the cultural fabric of Cuba, reigning as the island’s most beloved and prestigious sport. Introduced in the 1870s, it quickly rose in popularity, eventually surpassing traditional Spanish colonial pastimes like bullfighting.

Though its roots are American, baseball became a symbol of Cuban identity and resistance, representing a break from colonial influence and the embrace of a new national spirit. Today, it remains a central passion across the island, alongside other widely practiced sports such as boxing, volleyball, wrestling, and basketball.
