#5: You Can’t Take Pictures of Soldiers
While you can take photos freely throughout most of Cuba, there are a few sensitive exceptions worth noting. Military personnel, police officers, and airport staff are off-limits, and capturing government buildings is also discouraged.

Although enforcement can be sporadic, don’t let that lull you into a false sense of freedom—acting rashly around authorities could lead to awkward interrogations or unfounded accusations of espionage. To avoid drawing unnecessary attention, remain discreet when in proximity to uniforms or official premises.
