#3: Kiss Of Life (1968)
Captured by Rocco Morabito, this photograph shows two utility workers high on a pole after one was electrocuted. His coworker performs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation while both are suspended above the ground. The image freezes a split second between life and death, filled with tension, courage, and urgency.

The photo won the Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography because it documented a rescue in real time. Moments after it was taken, the injured worker survived. The image became a symbol of quick thinking and human compassion, showing how ordinary people can become heroes in extraordinary situations.
