Dr. Collins tried to soothe her, softening his voice and offering gentle reassurances. “You’re doing great. Your baby is healthy,” he told her calmly, hoping his words would bring some peace. Sarah nodded without emotion, her eyes still anchored to the door.

He placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. “It’s all going to be okay,” he murmured. But despite his best efforts, her anxiety remained firmly in place.
