#36: “The Magic Hour” Was His Very Own Talk Show
Television networks saw Magic’s charm and figured it could carry a talk show. In 1998, The Magic Hour hit the airwaves with big hopes and celebrity guests. But the rhythm felt off. The format didn’t fit.

Interviews were stiff, the jokes didn’t land, and Magic, so smooth on the court, looked uncomfortable under the studio lights. He gave it his best effort, but the ratings dropped quickly. The show was canceled after a short run. It wasn’t a failure so much as a reminder.
