#23: He Was Obsessed With Karate
Elvis didn’t just admire karate—he immersed himself in it. Inspired during army service, he trained obsessively, even earning a black belt. His passion bled into performances: high kicks, stances, sharp-arm strikes. He trained in silk robes, taught moves to friends, and called himself “Tiger.”

Sometimes he wore his gi instead of pajamas. In Graceland’s racquetball court, he practiced forms alone at 3 a.m. It wasn’t just showmanship—it gave him discipline, identity, and control in a world where fame ruled every minute. When life felt chaotic, karate provided him with a sense of grounding.
