#30: Pocahontas Met Her End
Fate dealt a cruel twist as Pocahontas boarded the ship meant to carry her home, commanded, ironically, by Captain Samuel Argall, the very man who once held her captive. She never saw Virginia again. During the voyage’s early stretch, while dining with Argall and her husband John Rolfe, Pocahontas suddenly fell ill.

What began as discomfort quickly escalated, and within hours, the young woman who had bridged two worlds was gone, dead at just 21. The cause of her death was never confirmed. Whether by illness, poison, or grief, her final chapter closed far from the homeland she longed to return to.
